BOB

Bob works hard at the plant and spends two nights each week bowling and plays golf every Saturday.

His wife thinks he's pushing himself too hard, So for his birthday she takes him to a local strip club.

The doorman at the club greets them and says, 'Hey, Bob! How ya doin?'

His wife is puzzled And asks if he's been to this club before.

'Oh no,' says Bob. 'He's in my bowling league.

When they are seated, a waitress asks Bob if he'd like his usual. And brings over a Budweiser.

His wife is becoming increasingly uncomfortable and says, 'How did she know that you drink Budweiser?'

'I recognize her, she's the waitress from the golf club. I always have a Bud at the end of the 1st nine, honey.'

A stripper then comes over to their table, throws her arms around Bob, starts to rub herself all over him and says,
'Hi Bob Want your usual table dance, big boy?'

Bob's wife, now furious, Grabs her purse and storms out of the club. Bob follows and spots her getting into a cab.
Before she can slam the door, He jumps in beside her.
Bob tries desperately to explain how the stripper must have mistaken him for someone else,
But his wife is having none of it .
She is screaming at him at the top of her lungs,
Calling him every 4 letter word in the book.

The cabby turns around and says,
'Geez Bob, you picked up a real bitch this time.'

A spontaneous decision

People say never take any spontaneous decision, never make any hasty decision as they never work and always backfire...

Well i always followed that particular funda until 3 weeks back..It was one small trip to tattoo shop with my friend which prompted me to get myself inked..

At first when i went to the shop and the desire of getting a tattoo emerged I thought it might be and temporary one...but i was proved wrong...

The same day i started thinking as to what would be the significance of my first tattoo and there i was with the answer...I always believed what ever happens will happen for good as it is god who has already chalked down our life...So i had no second thoughts and decided it would be "BLESSED" yes that is what my tattoo would say...

It is my belief that god's blessing is always there with me which prompted me to go ahead with this word. Any trust me people this is one spontaneous decision that iam really proud of..and really happy too :-)

Attaching the images do lemme know wat you think!!

A reminder from God!!!

Had a a very tough last week....had my exams. As if the tension of exams was not enough,we had our MET dept putting us in catch 22 situation...

The all hyped cyclone which was supposed to hit Mumbai shores never came[not that i wanted it to come and destroy]..But the news spread havoc all around...thanks to which our exam on that day got postponed...and we had to spend one more day cramming like hell.

Any ways done with exams i really wanted to loosen up and get away from the books...so we went to Carter Road[People from mumbai may know wat iam talkin bout] Its just to place to relax....

So we were sitting on a wall facing the open sea and i could see a lot of people around...Some jogging, talkin a strole, couples but there was this kid who really caught my eyes and my mind...he was happy walkin with few biscuits in his hand...It was very clear that he was one of the slum dweller...

Walkin pass people suddenly he fell down and all his biscuits fell from his hand...That kid was in all tears. His sister who also may be around 5 yrs came running picked his up..that kid got up picked up the fallen biscuits and went ahead...
When i saw this it really pinched me and reminded of all those times when we have taken things for granted and not appreciated the small things that god has blessed us with...

It was like a reminder that God gave to us saying understand the imp of things that you have...

The Theory of Intelligence

I don't think I've ever heard the concept explained any better than this :-)

'Well you see, Norm, it's like this . . . A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

The debate continues

Gandhi Jayanti....i am sure even Gandhiji must have never dreamt that there would be so much debate regarding this day.

The whole day today only 2 things were flashing on the new channels...
"Should we have national holiday on 2 Oct"
"Should govt impose Dry day on 2 Oct"

Its a real funny argument isn't?I mean instead of debating on such pity issue it would have been better if more imp things are given a thought for.

One point that i really liked was "Gandhi was a person who would have never said that a holiday should be declared on this day"...
More over what significance do we actually give to this day...just putting a garland on Gandhiji's status and enjoying the rest of the day doing the usual stuff does it really make justice to such a personality don't think so...

Dry day what is the reason behind this thing?people who want to drink will drink any how...i don't need to give how the ways they get their hands laid on the hard drinks on dry day....iam sure at least some of you guys must have seen it..

what is your say..dry day yes or no??? holiday yes or no??

I wasnt a kid when I was a kid

Some times back I had gone on a trip woth some of my friends and there we talkin about all the fun things that we did during our child hood...

Everybody started telling their share of karnameins....and it was fun...end of the topic we actually concluded that indeed our childhood was normal......as most of the things we spoke was done by all of us at one time or other..

Here are few things that I did during my child hoods days that even other friends of mine agreed to have done most of the things...

  • Catching fishes from the gutter [this always topped the charts]..putting them in a jar and then feeding them earthworms was one of the the most fun thing..
  • Catching Dragon fly tieing a thread to its tail and letting it fly...
  • We use to take a wooden log and tie a rope to it and dang it inside water as a boat which use to collect during rainy reasons.
  • Once my friends wanted to eat something sweet...so I went home and got a whole sugar ka dabba and distributed to all.
  • We use to go to the local vada pav wala during peak hours take a plate of samosa or vada pav come out of the crowd eat and then gupchup leave with out paying.
  • Catching chameleon and making it inhale burning tobacco...havent u done that..man u need to try this...the chameleon get high and starts dancing...

Smsing

The age of mobile has really taken over human species in a very funny way....we have become so addicted to that sometimes huge blunders happen as we get distracted due to excessive use of mobile...

Ne ways I am not here today to talk on hazards of mobile usage....recently i faced some problem in my mobile...whenever i tried opening msg under message tab it took ages for it to open...I can adjust with any other problem in my mobile ...but when by moblie responds slow i really hate it...

I knew this was happening to due to the absurd number of sms that are there in my mobile..the last count was something around 1775...So i had this uphill task of deleting msgs...yes i could have deleted by just selecting msg at random but I really dint want to delete good msgs...

So i started goin through msgs and started deleting it individually..

This it is where i found the kinds of forwarding/msging that people follow

Here are few types of msgs which i found.

The Pass n the luck wala sms.: I am sure most of you guys must also have received such msgs...dont you just hate it when that happens. It says that pass this sms to 10 people and you will get a good news kinda stuff.I mean common people get a life...

The Pj's: these are ones which simple makes u feel like putting your hand down your stomach and riping of those guts...those silly ones..the kinda jokes that we use to pass when we were like 8 or 9.

The real funny one: These are ones which really make you laugh your heart out....not the cliché ones...but seemingly funny.Thoough most of them are so called NV jokes they are fun...atleats better than those senti forwards

Emotional torture hindi msgs: Now i don't hate hindi but u know it really gets on to my nerves when people send those hindi shayari and stuff...half the time is wasted in understanding what the word means.

Inspirational msgs: i would say some of these are really good..

Taunt-messages: an example from shwezzz will help better to understand what i mean “Zindagi Behal Hai,Sur Hai Na Taal Hai,Message Box Bhi Kangal Hai,Pata Nahi Aapka Kya Haal Chal Hai”.

Then tere is those sms lingo wala msges..i mean people end up shortening the word so much end of the day even the sender has to wonder what it actually meant.

So what kinds of msg you get..for that matter what kind of msg u forward :-P

Are we ready??

Sach ka Samna..... The India version of Moment of Truth was aired recently and man it did raise some eyebrows...

I saw the English version for sometime...and yes the questions were really personal...
In a country like US,where relationships are not such an sensitive issue as compared to India...the show did ok not a super hit but still ok...
Indians are more emotional and relationships are very imp...at least to most of them...I really don't know if this show will work....

Recently I saw in news that the USA version was a reason for a divorce between a couple...
The Colombian version too was called off air due to some similar reason......so what is awaiting the India version.....I guess time would only say..

Many of them questioned whether India was ready for such a show....i guess the answer was as predicted NO....do u feel the same?

Talking to my diary...

Saw Shwetzz talking about this in her blog and my response to it was very spontaneous...something about which i always had strong notions.

I mean I really don't understand why people talk to their diary...I feel people who talk to their diary are ones who choose to be loners.

One who are afraid of sharing their feelings, their thougths...
What is the use of talkin to the diary...as it wont respond back...
Friendships and friends have evolved over the period of time for this particular reason so that you can share and talk to them...

I for myself always discourage this kinda behavior...what are you doin???

Doctors ;)

Let me tell you about my doctor.
He's very good.
If you tell him you want a second opinion,
he'll go out and come in again.
~
He treated one woman for jaundice for three years
before he realized she was Chinese.
~
Another time he gave a patient six months to live.
At the end of the six months, the patient hadn't paid his bill,
so the doctor gave him another six months.
~
While he was talking to me, his nurse came in and said,
"Doctor, there is a man here who thinks he's invisible."
The doctor said, "Tell him I can't see him."
~
Another time, a man came running in the office and yelled,
"Doctor, doctor!! -my son just swallowed a roll of film!!"
The doctor calmly replied, "Let's just wait and see what develops."
~
One patient came in and said, "Doctor, I have a serious memory problem."
The doctor asked, "When did it start?"
The man replied, "When did what start?"
~
I remember one time I told my doctor I
had a ringing in my ears. His advice: "Don't answer it."
~
My doctor sure has his share of nut cases.
One said to him, "Doctor, I think I'm a bell."
The doctor gave him some pills and said, "Here, take these -
if they don't work, give me a ring."
~
Another guy told the doctor that he thought he was a deck of cards.
The doctor simply said, "Go sit over there. I'll deal with you later."
~
When I told my doctor I broke my leg in two places,
he told me to stop going to those places.
~
You know, doctors can be so frustrating.
You wait a month and a half for an appointment,
then he says, "I wish you had come to me sooner."

Selfless deed!!!

Selfless deed sounds familiar...well for me is was...a much talked about subject specially when friends get together.

The talk on Karma too comes in...remember the old saying.."if you do good to others good things will happen to you"
the effects of all deeds are viewed as actively shaping past, present, and future experiences. The results or 'fruits' of actions are called karma-phala.

Its been accepted by many that there is no Selfless deed..
When me and my colleague were discussing about the same...he raised a point that whether a woman who is pregnant can be an example for a person doing a selfless deed.
We about were not sure if it would or not....
What do you feel???

Enough of Fair trial

Ok first of all sorry guys wasn’t there active on blogville as i was suffering through an ailment called EXAMS....had a very hectic last week and plzzz one request dont ask how the exams were....THEY SUCKED BIG TIME

Now for past 1 month of so I have been hearing a lot about right to Fair trial...India being a very just country wants everyone to have equal opportunity to defend him/herself...A lot has been said about principles upon which Indian democracy is based and blah blah blah.....Now iam not against that. but sometimes I feel we just get too much tied with such thoughts , perceptions and values

I am not a big fan of Shiv Sena or MNS....But for once I really agreed to what Balasaheb Thackeray said in his news papers that.
”Kasab really doesn’t deserve a fair trail... Hang Kasab publicly near Gateway of India....
The fact remains that India is more concerned about what will rest of the world say of that lone terrorist is hanged in public.

The point that I don’t understand is why are we so worried about what people think…"where were these people when Mumbai was under attack, where were they when 100's of innocent people were killed mercilessly..

Inspite of all this we are still allowing him to make a mockery of the legal system…Its high time that we stop treating him like a guest and take stern actions..

O-V-U-R ---> over

I know the title sounds different rite?

U know when we were small and we first started humming the songs that we hear on TV.It just came out naturally to us I mean the number of times we heard or saw that song the better we got at grasping the lyrics of that song....

Now recently something similar happned to me which was quite funny.

I like to watch TV a lot and when i am surfing thorugh channels there are some specfic channels which i normally run through one of which is Star World

I just love the sitcoms they have...its just so cool

Now there is a sitcom called Kath & Kim.I have never seen this particular series but whenever iam watching some other serials on start world the add of this particular serial[Kath & Kim] always comes on..
There is one scene which they always show in the add where one girls enters the house and says to her Mom " mom its over O-V-U-R over.[She actually spells it as OVUR] iam getting a divorce".

I have been seeing this add for almost 2 months now i guess and the way she spells over has actually stuck into my head.

So that day when i was writing a mail to my friend i myself spelt over as OVUR..it was quite funny coz while typing it I actually spelt the same thing in my mind and typed it.

For that moment is just struck me how human brains works i mean we just keep on hearing something a bang some days after even we start saying the same thing..

Blog's bday :)

Just today when I logged onto my blog i realised that my blog completed 1 year;

It was my Blog's bday :) on 4 march 09

Been really busy these days at both work and college front...and thats the reason was not able to drop in at blogville.

Ne ways this one year of blogging has been really fun.I have made some good friends here and also came across come good posts and some really greats thoughts.

Few blogs which i really nojyed reading during this trip are of

Shwetzz : i liked her innocence in the posts

Rakesh: i liked The kind of detailing that was there in his posts.

Devika: I liked her poems.[the ones that i understood :-)]

Peter/Nidhi: I liked the topics on which they posted.[
some of those would have never comes to my mind]

Alok: I liked his hold on English language.

Also it was fun knowing the rest of the blogville people like Farah, ayushi,Divya, bharat, abhinav,Mia,Fantasies of a Lifetime, who not only posted some good thoughts but also dropped in at my blog regularly :)

Another thing that i saw was i completed 100 posts in 1 year now for a guy who doesn't like to write that much its really something great.

As of now hoping that i still continue strong at blogville
Cheers

In Need of a Miracle

Its pathetic, its a waste of time, its really a PAIN.

God dammit having a lec on Saturdays is bad enough.Having a lec on 7th March makes matter worst.

Why cant professors finish their portion in the stipulated time? Why do they have to ruin the precious weekends of people like us who slog the whole week at work and at college[
part-time students u see].

Now i really dont mind having extra lec from professors who are good at delivering their topics...but for this particular prof I really hate to denote that extra time. This topic is already boring to make matters worse this prof keeps on rambling for hrs and hrs about topics which are not even remotely close to the Subject

Take today instance for example. We were given a case study to work on and when the time for discussion came ,the prof started talking bout topics which dint make sense and at one point I had completely closed my mind..later when i asked a friend sitting next to me whether he had finished discussing the case even he was confused about the status of the case discussion.

Iam sure no one would be listening to this prof at his home that is the reason he given long Pravachans to our delicate Minds :-P.

Was really looking forward for that sat as I had already made some plans and just when I was thinking of the fun I would have on that day there I was siting in the class bowled completely by the prof's news, saying there will be a TEST on that day.
Just when I thought of bunking the lec on 7th march here iam no where to go.Now only a miracle would save this poor soul from spending the whole of Saturday in front of books and then in class.

God bless
Peace

PS: 7th March[next sat] is my birthday :-)

The Aisle Seat

Two Radical Arab Terrorists boarded a flight out of London .

One took a window seat and the other sat next to him in the middle seat... Just before takeoff, a U.S. Marine sat down in the aisle seat.

After takeoff, the Marine kicked his shoes off, wiggled his toes and was settling in when the Arab in the window seat said, 'I need to get up and get a coke.' '

Don't get up,' said the Marine, 'I'm in the aisle seat, 'I'll get it for you.'

As soon as he left, one of the Arabs picked up the Marines shoe and spat in it.

When the Marine returned with the coke, the other Arab said, 'That looks good, I'd really like one, too.'

Again, the Marine obligingly went to fetch it. While he was gone the other Arab picked up the Marines other shoe and spat in it.

When the Marine returned, they all sat back and enjoyed the flight. As the plane was landing, the Marine slipped his feet into his shoes and knew immediately what had happened.
He leaned over and asked his Arab neighbors . . .

'Why does it have to be this way?'

'How long must this go on . . . ?

This fighting between our nations . . . ?

This hatred . . . ?

This animosity . . . ?

. . . This spitting in shoes and pissing in cokes . . .. ?'

Amos- the mouse

Balbir Pasha remember the famous add .The Baadshah of Aids Campaigns in India, spoke about a public message campaign undertaken by PSI, an NGO, with the objective of giving information about high-risk behaviors to groups that are vulnerable to HIV/AIDS.

Not sure how effective the add was but I can gurandamtee that the name Balbir Pasha took off like any thing.People started calling other with that name jokingly and over nite that name was there on every kids lips.
It was really funny to see how much that name became popular.
Well Iam not here to talk about this character but the one who became very famous in our school and in our colony..It was AMOS.

We had this lesson in 8th or 9th grade I guess where this scientist has this mouse named Amos on whom he tries all his experiments.[keeping my fingers crossed hoping my memory is serving me well].
Ne ways this character became a famous personality specially in lecs other than English.Obviously as other teachers weren't aware of that character :-P

When ever something wrong happened or any mischief was played in the class and the teacher would ask us who it was.
All the guys would unanimously say it was "AMOS" and there the prof be standing thinking Who is the hell was that. hahaha.
This Hindi prof was our fav lec as Amos would get real active in this lec..She was a new prof and always use to ask who this Amos was..

After some time Amos turned to Amosgiri. We started saying to others "kya re amosgiri kar raha hai"
i mean we our self dint know what Amos did but still it was fun to say that.

Iam sure that these kinda things would have happened at your end also suddenly a character coming into existence

Dishum Dishum

"Pepsodent, raat bhar ... dishum dishum" remember that add.
yes that is my case today.

Don't you have days when you just cant get yourself off the line of fire.A time when you ask yourself "what have I done wrong"
Yes for me this week started on such a note...and guess what its still continuing...man i hate it when i get pulled up for no reason.
I mean get a life ya why remove your frustration on people who havent done anything wrong.I am sure most of the people must have been in such a situation..
These are really times when you feel like running away from all the chaos.
For all the good things you do to nulify the effect it suddenly backfires and there iam standing at square one again.
Any ways will have to fight the battle for this whole week.
God save me and please make rest of the week better than now. :-(

[updated]Good old politician...

I guess our country is really lucky to get politician like these...remember the Sheila Dixit case where she commented saying "Driving at 3 AM alone in a city, which people believe is not very safe for women after dark...one should not be adventurous"

Then we have our very own MNS who really dont have any other work but try to get political milage from unwanted things.

Who can one forget the resent comment by RR Patil about "bade shahron mein aise ek adh hadse hote rahte hain"

And now we have the Mlore incident..day in day out we see our politician falling down to a greater depth by their pathetic act.

Why cant these people just concentrate on work for which they have been appointed.
The Mlore incident really got my furious I mean who are they to be the moral police and say what is wrong and what is not. When one of the party member was asked that A**hole had the audacity to say"this is not our Indian culture"
Is beating up and molesting women a part of Indian culture. Its a matter of shame to say that we are part of such a society where women are not respected.

Why cant these politicians do some constructive work ...Why...I guess some questions will never be answered..

When ever we hear politicians talk the first thing that most of us think is how confidently they Lie....isnt it?

Found this funny thing so shared with you guys

A bus load of politicians were driving down a country road when all of a sudden, the bus ran off the road and crashed into a tree in an old farmer's field.

The old farmer, after seeing what had happened, went over to investigate. He then proceeded to dig a hole to bury the politicians.

A few days later the local sheriff came out, saw the crashed bus, and asked the old farmer where all the politicians had gone.

The old farmer said he had buried them.

The sheriff asked the old farmer, 'Were they all dead?'

The old farmer replied, 'Well, some of them said they weren't, but you know how these bastards lie.'

PS: dint want to waste another post for these good for nothing politician so added my thoughts in this only.

The Spring season

It was one beautiful spring season that it came into existence. The flower on that plant looked so beautiful.Everyone who looked at it felt how nicely the plant and the flower complimented each other. It was just like a match made it heaven.

The plant always took care of the flower.
Made sure no one removes it from it.
The delicate petals were treated as gold by the plant.
The flower on the other hand made the plant look beautiful.
Always added the dash of color to the plants life.
The passing time brought them more closer.

But as its said change is the order of the day things started to change the flower started feeling proud of itself and it started neglecting the plant. It forgot that it was only coz of the plant that the flower has got the beauty. It also overlooked at the fact that beauty remains only when both stay together. The plant at first dint mind the changed behaviour from the flower but some thing had to give way and one fine day the plant released the grip on the flower and the flower fell off.

The flower that time was very happy.

The beauty that everyone talked about suddenly vanished.Everyone was disappointed. The owner of the plant was devastated with the loss. For sometime the plant felt the pain.
The owner realised the pain and started putting more fertilizer to the plant. And as time passed there was a small bud which grew on the plant. The owner saw a glimmer of hope in that bud and one day he saw a small flower on that plant.

The Plant was happy and so was the owner. It was like the owner had planned for this.
Some days after the flower which was below saw the new flower on the plant. It seemed to be unhappy. It seemed like the flower wanted to get back there. But i guess the time had passed.Even the plant wasn't sure how do deal with this as things were very hazy.

The plant spoke to the flower which had fallen below and gave it the support it needed. It promised to give the same respect and support the plant had given it before.
The flower seemed to be happy but again the plant wasn't sure what future it would have with the fallen flower.

Ga-ga Over SlumDog

SlumDog millionaire!!!

From the time the movie has released I haven't heard anything else but praise for the movie.A movies truly speaks out about itself, the way its been directed and the way the actors has performed their respective roles.
The much created hype about the movie is what convinced me to see the movie and trust me the time spent in watching the movie was worth it.
It very beautifully shows how Jamal[the main character] relates every situation that has happened in past and gives answer at the game show.

Ne ways iam not here today to give a movie review but to highlight a fact which happened today. Was just going through a new papers and I saw a person talkin crap about the movie.

Ok his exact words were "its a Disgrace to Mumbai" For few sec I thought the printing must have been goofed up and a wrong title would be given to the below matter but it was not the case.

Some how that person overlooked what the movie was based on and he started criticizing about how mumbai is not only about slums and how the movie was a disgrace to mumbai.

I am sure most on us would feel that the locations and the background was very apt to the story line unlike our very own Hindi main stream cinema where the hero heroins go to foreign locations to sing songs and blink of the eye they change clothes and move from one place to other

It made me infuriated. But deep down inside a cord struck me.I had read somewhere that in a survey it was found that most indian tend to highlight the -ve factors more than the positive. At that time it dint make sense to me.

But today when I read this it actually made sense, yes it is true that based on few examples i cant conclude that we think -ve.But if we look at the larger picture we wil find many people who give importance to -ve things.

As the movie name suggests Slumdog Millonaire,it is bound to have more contents about ideas and visuals near slums. Now really was that chap who wrote this comment in the news paper actually expecting that the movie would be shot in places like Colaba or bandra no rite??

Also I dont think a movie will bring disgrace to a city like mumbai.A City which speaks for itself doesnt really need any one else to talk good about it.

Life!!!

1 year that's how long it has been, One of the toughest decision that i had to make last year same time.

Life for me changed head over heels.Something which was very dear to me had to be done away with. Never thought that god would put that responsibility on me to take take by far the most difficult decision i had to in my entire life.

Though it was very difficult i had to do it.I tried to keep my grip on it very tight but i just couldn't hold it.I guess the rage ,the unhappiness got the better of me and i had to let go of it.When i took that decision I thought i would never be the same.I thought there would be nightmares which would haunt me for making such a decision.

But i guess it wasn't to be.God has funny ways to let us know what has been destined to us.You really cant do ne thing against god's script about life.
One year and today when i look back I think it was right on my part to let go.Life though has changed but i know it has changed for good.
Iam not a one who surrenders to though situation but when god demands us to give way then we really don't have a choice.

I never thought that life would come back on track after that period, but to my surprise life has not only come back on track but also running in the best possible manner.

Thank you God for everything..
God bless
